Colin O'Banion

Doctor of Physical Therapy

I'm a Doctor of Physical Therapy based in Boulder, Colorado, specializing in sports injury rehabilitation, chronic pain resolution, and helping active adults and athletes avoid surgery. I've been in clinical practice for over 20 years, which amounts to tens of thousands of hours working with bodies, finding what's actually wrong, and fixing it.

Most of my clients come to me after trying two, three, sometimes many more providers without lasting relief. What's different here isn't just the techniques I use, but my approach.  I look for the root cause of your problem, treat your whole body as a connected system, and give you the tools to stay well long after our sessions end.

Where most PT stops at exercises and manual therapy, I combine advanced manual therapy, blood flow restriction, shockwave therapy, dry needling, neuromuscular stimulation, e-stimm, cupping, and functional movement programming to identify and address the root cause, not just manage symptoms.

My training spans two distinct worlds, and that intersection is where the real results happen. Alongside my Doctorate in Physical Therapy, I hold the highest level of certification as a Tui Na Practitioner in Classical Chinese Medicine, and I'm accredited as a Balance Protocol Practitioner in functional medicine — a framework that goes well beyond standard PT to address the whole person.

Before Boulder, I co-founded Integrate NYC Physical Therapy in New York City, where I worked with professional athletes, performers, and executives and continue to treat in NYC regularly.

I'm a lifelong athlete and still play year-round competitive soccer alongside running and strength training, so I bring firsthand understanding of what it means to need your body to perform.

I had reached out to so many practices for help with debilitating back pain and found no relief. Colin knew exactly what I needed, got to the source of the problem, and released all the pressure in my back. Finally — a light at the end of the tunnel.
